For those who want to make lemon balm tea to use as a topical wash to ward mosquitoes simply put 4 teaspoon of lemon balm leaves into a quart of boiling water, steep, cool and then rub it on your skin. You will smell nice and lemony to other humans but, mosquitoes won’t go near the smell of citrus. You can also use it on cuts and scrapes as it’s anti bacterial properties will help to prevent infection.
